It was so much fun to see the wonderful, Great Lake featured on The Selby recently! Aside from having made some of the best pizza we have ever tasted in Chicago, Nick Lessin's and Lydia Esparza (the owners of Great Lake), enjoyed working with other artist's and designers to create a unique and always changing environment for their window. For The Selby shoot, our colorful, over-sized cards based on our Loteria prints, brought a punch of color and a playful spirit to the seriously delicious dining experience within.

We were excited to be chosen as one of three small businesses featured, (well...Peter got 5 seconds of time) in the USPS Superbowl Sunday commercial! The handsome postman – and he really is a postman – in the commercial is Lorenzo Hudson, who brings the whole shoot together. So much fun!
We were beyond thrilled when the graphic designer and author of the gorgeous blog, Wit+Delight, Kate Arends, posted about Uusi today! In the gargantuan universe of the internet Kate's blog stands out as an authentic place with a voice and eye that stand alone. Peter discovered her blog a year ago when he found our Moderne Farm set posted on her inspiring Tumblr page. Peter is not a big blog follower, but Kate's blog was quickly slotted into his "bookmark" toolbar. I think she's become a muse of his. A fearless sense of style & curiosity with just the right amount of Tomboy. Thank you, Kate for creating such an inspiring place to visit and one we are proud to be posted on!
It felt like something out of a Wes Anderson movie when we were contacted by a French journalist who said he contributed to The International Playing-Card Society's Journal and wondered if he could include our deck in their September issue. An International Playing Card Society? How quirky-cool is that!? So we checked it out and have to say, if you are a card collector, interested in creating a deck of your own, or just want to troll through some beautiful imagery - this is a website you have to visit. We loved the History of Playing Cards section and its look at the games past and the many forms and styles it went through in its evolution to the decks and games we play with today. They also post on new decks by artists and designers around the world. We are definitely honored to be recognized by this wonderful, 40 year-old society. And should Wes Anderson need a quirky topic or character interest for his next movie...may we humbly suggest The Blue Bloods and The IPCS.
