NEW IN UUSI STUDIO, "MAKE-BELIEVE" , A LIMITED EDITION PRINT SERIES

 

 

It's been a few months in the making but this series finally came together for the start of our 2012 Studio program!  "Make-Believe" is an homage to the folktales and fables that honored our imaginations and turned the ordinary into something special.  Screen-printed and then carefully hand colored for a painterly effect, no two prints are exactly the same. We are especially loving the hand-applied, gold-leaf-look of the oil pastel. It's luxurious, creamy swirls emanate a warm, deep glow - an effect that could not be achieved with a harder, sparkly-metallic ink. And the powdery, vibrant, Mid-century blue rubbed in from raw pigements just pops with smart, classic elegance.  We hope they find a place happily ever after with you!
